| While all coastal scenes
have common elements - the surf, the sky and
the coastal terrain - these have such potential
for variety that I never cease being fascinated
with the subject matter which allows me to
express a wide range of moods. “Pounding
Waves of the North Shore,” with its
spraying mist and the sun’s rays breaking
through storm clouds, gave me a way to portray
the thrilling rhapsody of the sea. In “Seaside
Hideaway,” I present a contradiction.
The reclusive nature hidden in all of us is
brought to the fore, coupled with out desire
to be close to the awesome and inspiring sea.
